After a four-month, multi-million dollar, redesign and full-scale transformation, the infamous Seafood Bar at The Breakers Palm Beach is now open again. This is great news for the seasonal residents of the island – as well as for year-round residents. That’s because the legendary Seafood Bar is such a well known place for anyone who is “in the know” in Palm Beach.
The “Reimagined” Seafood Bar
This favorite Palm Beach destination’s doors reopened on December 25, 2016 – revealing its nautical new design and splendid ocean backdrop.
“This is a place where you can take in everything that’s wonderful about the ocean in so many sensory ways. The sea’s inspiration is clearly evident in the design and custom furnishings, the signature aquarium bar, a raw bar display, and certainly the menu – which expresses our culinary team’s passion for working with the freshest seafood available, in a setting like no other.” -Nick Velardo, Vice President – Food & Beverage, Restaurants, for The Breakers
From the moment you walk in, you see a fabulous exhibition kitchen – where you can see the chefs creating and preparing dishes of fresh seafood and other delights.
“The whole look and concept of the bar is to feel as though you are on a luxury yacht.” -Rey Cabrera, Manager at the Seafood Bar at The Breakers
This beautiful spot was created by nationally renowned hospitality designer, Adam D. Tihany – who was the design consultant for South Florida based, Peacock + Lewis Architects.
“This is actually his [Tihany’s] fifth project with us at The Breakers. He also did HMF, Flagler Steakhouse, Flagler Club (the unique, ultra-luxury, boutique hotel – atop The Breakers), and rooms in the south oceanfront tower.” -Bonnie Reuben, Marketing and Communications for The Breakers
